AURAL VAMPIRE, DJ SISEN AND GPKISM COMING TO ADELAIDE.
Something mildly interesting for Adelaide folk, also posted at the jrock_australia community, from BloodPuppies Entertainment's myspace blog:

[NEW TOUR ANNOUNCED] AURAL VAMPIRE + GPKISM + DJ SISEN

Move over Gwen Stefani!

Get ready to be dazzled when the real Harajuku posse takes over Australia in April 2009.

Japan's flamboyant synth-pop duo, Aural Vampire, teams up with Melbourne's own gender-bending trance master GPKISM on a four-date East Coast tour.

Product of both Tokyo's vibrant goth subculture and the city's underground dance music scene, Aural Vampire's front woman Exo-Chika flaunts fangs in the band's videos and takes to the stage in gothic-inspired haute couture.

Raveman, her mysterious partner, dons a freaky "Friday the 13th"-style hockey mask – a nod to the duo's love of 80s B-grade horror films.

Having just inked with Japan's biggest indie label, Avex Group and becoming label mates with acts such as Arctic Monkeys, Operator Please and Jonas Brothers, Aural Vampire will be their first album on the label later this year.

Touring with them are GPKISM, who has been the darling of the American and European trance circuit; and the explosion of crazy colours and dirty trance music that is Tokyo's DJ SiSeN.

Don't miss Aural Vampire bring Harajuku to the stage in these Australian cities; it's a lot closer than Tokyo!

Hell yeah I'm going!
lustidylliclustidyllic on February 12th, 2009 04:02 am (UTC)
haha, see you there :D

are you still doing DJ-ing at the Cranka (was it?), by the way? my friend and I are getting sick of goddamn Necro...

Nah not anymore, fright club went monthly and I dont even know if fright club will still be continuing, they've changed their format to psychobilly/horrorpunk only.

Plans for a j-music evening are still in the works - possibly some time in winter
lustidylliclustidyllic on February 12th, 2009 09:17 am (UTC)
blegh, pity. I got back from Melbourne just the other day, and while there we went to the weeky goth club, DV8 - it happened to be Metal Night at the time. SO FUCKING AWESOME, and I'm not even a metal fan. Melbourne kids know how to party. Atmosphere was so great, everyone was friendly rather than sticking exclusively to their own cliques (e.g. Necromancy).

J-music evening... would be good... I request Girugamesh WAY IN ADVANCE :D
Azami - Bloody Hachimitsuxelandria on February 12th, 2009 09:21 am (UTC)
Haha nice choice. Yeah Melbourne scene shits all over adelaide, there are social politics wherever you go but theyre particularly bad in Adelaide because of the lower numbers etc.

I'm assuming they chose Jive because of Ikochi's success there when they play in Adelaide. I'm not so sure its the best venue considering the crowds but hey we'll try to get the numbers.
lustidylliclustidyllic on February 12th, 2009 09:24 am (UTC)
you'd think that because of how few people there are, they'd really make more of an effort, but I found the reverse to be true, everyone was pretty... cold at Necro, with just a few exceptions.

mmm, I was surprised at the venue too, but I guess we'll just have to whore it out as much as possible!

Yay =D - Someone good actually coming to Adelaide! If tickets aren't over-priced, I think I'd like to go hahaa...

oh btw you wrote blood on the title instead of dj sisen lol xD
lustidylliclustidyllic on February 12th, 2009 08:14 am (UTC)
oops, I was thinking of the last concert they did. fixed that now. though you need to make a new tag for Aural Vampire.

and I agree that if this is popular, more events may arise. so. everyone should go!

A friend of mine runs a cyber goth/industrial night and the venue is thinking about getting DJ Sisen in for a performance so we might get to see him twice :)
lustidylliclustidyllic on February 12th, 2009 09:14 am (UTC)
oh that'd be nice, the cybergoths would squee.
where is this goth/industrial night?
Azami - Bloody Hachimitsuxelandria on February 12th, 2009 09:17 am (UTC)
RVM (Revolution vs Machine) it only opened up a few months ago but heres their myspace

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=407227330

They used to operate at worldsend but now they're at higher ground which is a much better venue IMO

I'm the one with the red fringe in the photos :D
lustidylliclustidyllic on February 12th, 2009 09:23 am (UTC)
oh yeah, RvM! my friend keeps inviting me to go, she's been twice I think and keeps raving about it. the two on the left are my friends. I haven't been able to go yet, but maybe this month's if I feel up to it.

& aaaw, you look gorgeous. How do you manage not to get sweaty and feral?

That crowd would appreciate Sisen, I think.
Azami - Bloody Hachimitsu: overkillxelandria on February 12th, 2009 09:29 am (UTC)
Hahah thanks. That was early on in the evening and trust me I did get pretty sweaty and feral after Dysmorphic started playing.

I recognise the girl in the red dress.. is her name Mia? I've seen her around a bit.

RVM is definately worth going to, everyone always has a great time.

And yeah I think they'd go nuts over Sisen.. he'd suit the visual/atmosphere very well.

Hey - add me on msn so we can plan whoration of this gig :P angelos_orior_oriri_ortus@hotmail.com
lustidylliclustidyllic on February 12th, 2009 09:41 am (UTC)
lol, fair enough then. no matter how much hair spray I use, my fringe always ends up slicked to my forehead, gross :(

Yep, that's Mia, she frequents this scene quite a lot now. She went to Melbourne with me and we partied hard. She was also the one who dragged me to Necro and is now on a quest to get me to RvM!

alright :D but just a heads up, my internet is extremely temperamental right now as we're trying to get it fixed. if I go offline and don't reappear, sorry in advance. oh & yeah, my MSN name is... weird.
I'll add you on LJ too, btw, since I'm not on MSN all that often.
